MY CHILDREN AND I JUST NEED SOME MENU FROM MY MUM'S EVERYDAY COOKING, IMPROVISED TO EVERYONE'S TASTE. FRESH KERANG IS STIR FRIED WITH BUTTER, ADD LEMON GRASS AND 'DAUN KUNYIT' WHILE THE SAMBAL IKAN IS TAKING THE ISI IKAN REBUS GROUND WITH CHILLI AND BELACAN.... I SWITCHED THE IKAN MASIN WITH AYAM PENCEN TO MY SAYUR KELADI. THE CHICKEN HAS TO BE BOILED TILL TENDER BEFORE ADDING THE SANTAN AND SAYUR KELADI AS THE FINISHING. THE KERABU MANGGO IS ACTUALLY SHREDDED AND THEN MIX WITH CILI API, HOT TO TASTE, FRIED IKAN BILIS AND SLICED ONIONS, MIX THEM ALL AND YOU GET THE MOUTHWATERING KERABU, DONE BY CHEF ZATUL,

I AM HAPPY THAT THESE FRIENDS HAVE LEARNT A LOT SINCE THE FIRST TIME I SHOWED THEM FEW GOOD TIPS TO GREAT COOKING. THAT FIRST TIME WAS ABOUT 2 YRS BACK! WELL DONE, GIRLS! SIAP DI HIRIS OBOR-OBOR YANG DI MASINKAN AS SALAM OBOR-OBOR OR JELLY FISH IS ONE OF OUR FAVORITE MENU.IT IS SOLD WIDELY IN OUR WET MARKET. THIS JELLY FISH IS CAUGHT FROM OUR WATERS AND PROCESSED TO BE SALTED. SO BEFORE IT BECOMES PART OF THE MENU ON THE TABLE, IT NEEDS TO BE SOAKED IN WARM WATER TO LESSEN THE SALTY TASTE. SLICE SHALLOTS, GARLIC, GINGER, CILI API (AND ALSO TAKE ABOUT 20, BLEND), LIME JUICE( SECUKUP MASAM). MIX EVERYTHING IN A BOWL, SPRINKLE A BIT OF MSG/ANCHOVIES GRANULES. DON'T ADD SALT. IT SHOULD TASTE CILLI HOT AND SOUR.
